On the eve of the 50th anniversary of the lunar landing, former NASA public information officer Doug Ward recounts his time working in mission control during the historic event.
Doug Ward is a retired NASA public affairs officer who was in the control room during the Apollo 11 mission. Along with a handful of other officers, Ward helped broadcast the moon landing to the United States and across the world.
